How do I know if I'm ready for this 12 Week Marathon Training Plan?
This 12 Week Marathon Training Schedule is a good fit for you if you have previously run a marathon or a half marathon or are very comfortable running about 4 to 6 miles (or 6 to 10 kilometers).
How many days per week will I be training?
There are 5 scheduled running days per week with an optional day to cross train. You always have the flexibility of reducing your running days to 4 days per week (2 shorter runs, 1 quality running workout such as a hill workout or speed workout and 1 long run).
What will my highest mileage week be?
During Week 10 of training you will reach your highest mileage of your marathon training cycle up to 42 miles. (67 kilometers)
What is the longest run I will run during this plan?
There are a total of two twenty mile (32 kilometer) runs (scheduled in week 8 and week 10) which are the longest runs scheduled on the training plan.
Are the recipes in the included 6 Week Meal Plan for Marathon Runners Gluten-Free? Vegetarian Friendly?
Most of the included recipes have either gluten free or vegetarian friendly alternatives or are naturally gluten free or vegetarian friendly!
